Programs shape the lives of children with healthy
activities, skill building and character
development. The Y provides teens with a safe
place to socialize and learn leadership skills with
positive role models. Working parents are assured
of safe, supervised after school care and child
care.
Why we need

Our pledge is
to never turn away a child from our programs because of
inability to pay. Often, those are the kids
who need us most and the number continues to
grow. If a child is unable to pay for membership
or program participation, financial assistance in the
form of scholarships are provided by generous donors of
the Invest in Youth
Campaign.

over 8,700 children and families received financial
assistance scholarships. Help the YMCA continue

Summer
Camp.
Children
experience an opportunity to make new friends, learn
new skills and experience the fun and adventure of the
outdoors at YMCA summer day camps and overnight
camps.
Child Care
and Preschool Programs.
Y Child Care
and preschool programs provide stimulating activities
in a nurturing environment, giving our children a
healthy start.
After School
Programs.
After the
school day ends, and before parents return home, caring
adults provide a safe place for homework help and team
building. YMCA After school programs are located at
over 46 area schools and Y facilities in the Rochester
area.
Youth &
Teen Programs.
The YMCA
provides teens with a safe place to socialize and
participate in structured programs such as Youth &
Government and Teen Leaders
Club.
Membership.
YMCA
membership keeps children and families active and fit
together in a positive
environment.
